TPC Explorer Flights

We are excited to introduce the Explorer Flight Missions, which focus on airports that our Staff has on their bucket lists. You can fly these on your own or get a group going - it’s up to you.

To get the Explorer server role (access to Explorers DISCORD channel) and 500 TPC Points for the flight:

  1. Fly from/to any of the airports on this list.

  2. Leave a comment on this post with the ICAO code of the airport you flew from/to.

  3. Post a pic from your flight in screenshots channel on DISCORD.

Make sure you choose an appropriate aircraft and conduct proper flight planning. Let the adventure begin!

1. Anchorage, AK (PANC)

For more than 50 years, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport has played an integral role in the growth of Anchorage and the State of Alaska. Today, the airport has an exciting and dynamic future, with geographic location providing unlimited potential moving goods and services and infrastructure to be used in the global marketplace.

2. Bozeman, MT (KBZN)

Located in the heart of beautiful Gallatin Valley, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is Montana’s busiest airport, providing the only year-round service for two Yellowstone National Park entrances. BZN also serves Big Sky Ski Resort, Bridger Bowl Ski Area, Montana State University, as well as countless other recreation and business destinations in the Bozeman, Belgrade and Livingston area.

 

3. Niagara Falls (CYSN)

The Niagara District Airport is located in the heart of the world famous Niagara Region, ideally positioned for both business and tourists. In addition to the famous Niagara Falls, the region offers historic Niagara-on-the-Lake and its popular Shaw Festival Theatre.

4. Gunnison, CO (KGUC)

The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) provides frequent commercial service with airline partner United Express (operated by SkyWest and Mesa), United Airlines, and American Airlines. It is a publicly owned, public use airport located 1 mile southwest of the City of Gunnison, Colorado.

5. Marathon, FL (KMTH)

The Marathon Airport opened in 1943. It was built by the U.S. Navy as an auxiliary airfield for Naval Air Station Key West. It was deactivated as a military facility at the end of World War II and transferred to the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners for use as a civilian airport.

6. Phuket, Thailand (VTSP)

Phuket International Airport is an international airport serving the Phuket Province of Thailand. It is in the north of Phuket Island, 20 miles from the center of Phuket City.

 

7. Alpine, TX (E38)

Alpine–Casparis Municipal Airport is a city-owned public-use airport located two miles northwest of the central business district of Alpine, a city in Brewster County, Texas, United States.

 

8. Port-au-Prince, Haiti (MTPP)

Toussaint Louverture International Airport is an international airport in Tabarre, a commune of Port-au-Prince in Haiti. The airport is currently the busiest in Haiti and is an operating hub for Sunrise Airways. It is informally called "the Maïs-Gâté airport", named after the area in the Cul-de-Sac Plain where the airport was built.

 

9. Saint Martin (TNCM)

Princess Juliana International Airport is the main airport on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten. The airport is located on the Dutch side of the island, in the country of Sint Maarten.

 

10. St Barts (TFFJ)

St Barts' Gustaf III Airport is one of the most unique airfields in the Caribbean. It has one of the shortest runways in the world, at just over 2,100 feet. Because of this, only small prop planes are able to land at St Barts Airport; the runway is too short for even the smallest jet-engine plane to land.
