Explorer Flight Missions - America 250: The birth of a Nation
Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by retracing the footsteps of the nation’s founders. From the streets of Boston where revolution began to Philadelphia where independence was declared, continue through Delaware’s battlefields before ending in Washington, D.C., where the ideals of liberty are preserved today. Each stop offers an opportunity to explore the places where history was written.

1. KBOS - Boston Logan International Airport
Boston, MA
Begin where revolution was born. Visit the Freedom Trail, Boston Tea Party Ships, Bunker Hill, and Paul Revere’s ride.
2. KPVD - Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport
Providence, RI
Rhode Island was the first colony to renounce allegiance to Britain. Nearby is Newport, an important Revolutionary War port.
3. KPHL - Philadelphia International Airport
Philadelphia, PA
Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Declaration of Independence, and the U.S. Constitution all came together here.
4. KILG - Wilmington Airport
Wilmington, DE
A short drive to New Castle and Brandywine Battlefield, where Washington fought one of the largest battles of the Revolutionary War.
5: KDCA - Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Washington, D.C.
Finish at the nation’s capital. Visit the National Mall, Washington Monument, U.S. Capitol, and the National Archives, home of America’s founding documents.
